State guard license verification
Every agent submits a current state-issued security-guard license. We verify the number directly against the issuing state's regulatory registry — not against a photo of the card.
- License number cross-checked with state database on onboarding
- Automated re-check every 90 days; suspended immediately on lapse
- Firearm permits (LTC / CCW) verified separately for armed agents
Background screening with continuous monitoring
Every applicant clears a state, county, and federal-database background screening at onboarding, is re-checked annually, and is monitored continuously between checks. No cursory instant-only checks.
- Multi-state criminal history, county-court records, and federal database screening
- Sex-offender registry, terror watchlist, and OFAC screening
- Motor vehicle record for any agent providing vehicle escorts
- Continuous monitoring alerts — new arrests trigger review within 24h
Mandatory body-camera policy
Every active booking is recorded on a tamper-evident body camera. Recording begins at dispatch, ends at check-out, and cannot be paused by the agent.
- Dual-mic audio with automatic redaction of bystander speech
- Encrypted upload; 90-day default retention available to you and the incident team
- Chain-of-custody log with per-clip SHA-256 fingerprint
- Any booking with missing footage is auto-flagged for review
Insurance & bonding
Agents dispatch under our master liability program (rolling out per city at launch). You don't rely on a solo operator to be adequately covered.
- Master general-liability program administered by TenTwo
- Bond coverage for property claims where required by jurisdiction
- Certificate on file, renewed annually, verified with carrier
Jurisdiction compliance
Security regulations vary by state and city. An agent's dispatch radius is restricted to jurisdictions where their license is valid — you cannot summon them across a line.
- Per-state licensing rules encoded in dispatch
- Armed status per jurisdiction (some cities require additional permits)
- Off-duty law-enforcement rules honored per department policy
Training & practical assessment
Before their first booking, every agent completes TenTwo's in-person practical assessment — de-escalation scenarios, medical response, and legal-witness protocol.
- 4-hour de-escalation module (crisis intervention certified)
- Basic first aid + Stop-the-Bleed
- Legal witness protocol: what to say, what not to say, when to disengage
- Annual re-certification required to maintain active status
Credential-specific verification
Off-duty police, EMTs, attorneys, paralegals, and notaries are verified through their governing authority. The credential is only shown on the profile after confirmation.
- Off-duty police: department confirmation + secondary-employment authorization
- EMT / medic: state EMS registry
- Attorney / paralegal: bar association + firm confirmation
- Notary: state commission number
Two-way review & continuous performance
Clients rate agents; agents rate clients. Both sides accumulate a public rating. Agents dropping below 4.5 stars enter a mandatory review and are removed if patterns persist.
- Rolling 90-day rating window (older reviews decay)
- Automatic review triggered on any incident report, regardless of severity
- Client-side accountability: repeated 1-star reviews from agents restrict your booking privileges
Staffed incident response team
An operations team monitors active bookings and handles incident reports. Safety-flagged reports carry a 15-minute response SLA; general reports carry a 24-hour SLA.
- Live location + status of every active booking on our dispatch board
- Body-cam footage auto-attached to every incident report
- Escalation paths to 911, local PD liaison, and legal counsel where warranted
- Post-incident review published to the agent's file within 72h
What TenTwo agents don't do
TenTwo agents are licensed professional witnesses and personal-security operators — not sworn officers. They do not detain, arrest, or interfere with law enforcement. They de-escalate, document, and dispatch help. Their body camera is your record. Their license is your recourse.
Your data, your access
- Recordings and location logs are encrypted at rest.
- 90-day default retention; request permanent hold for open incidents.
- Family members you invite see location only during active bookings, per your permission toggles.
